I have successfully been running my own children’s football coaching company for over 10 years. During this time I have a track record growing year on year and getting results. To do this I created a strong company "why" of offering children a positive introduction and ongoing experience to sport. This vision was embodied throughout the whole organisation to get everyone pulling in the same direction. Throughout this time I also developed the confidence of our young coaches and up skilled them to become lead coaches. However overall I felt out of alignment and new I needed and new challenge and that something had to change.
I was struggling with my mindset and clarity knowing what path I wanted to take next in my life. I then spent time reflecting and practising new things Including meditation and journaling. This was powerful for me and derived some powerful insights. It allowed me to slow down and ask myself a series of powerful questions such as “What do I really want to do?”. With this awareness I was able to make better decisions in my lifestyle and produced better results in my own mindset and performance.
I now call these my mindset questions which I share with my clients to help them. As Steve Jobs said you can’t connect the dots looking forward you only can looking back. With this reflection practice and my passion for self development. I cultivated a service based mindset to use my skills and experience to help others. Building on this I knew from my background that I enjoy working with young people and helping them to reach their potential. The idea of being a positive influence and sharing wisdom I am applying to help young people really resonated with me. Being a younth development coach and mentor gives me a platform in which to do this. I currently work with young people on a weekly basis to help them improve their mindset, performance and lifestyle. Many now have a clear sense of purpose and clarity on what they want to do in their lives. Armed with this knowledge we set specific goals and habits to continue the upward trajectory they are on.
I love what I do and get a real buzz from it, I wake up everyday with a clear sense of purpose and put this into action through my daily process work.
