I had struggled with my mindset and clarity knowing what path I wanted to take. A catalyst of change was going to see a counsellor. As a result of my sessions I developed an interest in mindfulness and meditation as well as a passion for self development. This is when things clicked into place, it allowed me to slow down and to be able to become aware of my thoughts but no longer just following them. After going deeper on my meditation practice, the voice of my intuition and heart rather than my emotional mind came to the forefront.
Through this stillness I was only able to access through making a consistent commitment to myself to make positive changes in my mindset and lifestyle.
I asked myself a series of powerful questions “What do I really want to do?” The answer was to focus on personal growth and use this to make a difference in people's lives and having fun doing it. Coaching gives me the platform to do this and truly help others to live their best lives. In your journey we will ask similar breakthrough questions to make powerful changes for you.
With this epiphany I trained as a Life coach and NLP practitioner to further equip myself with practical skills and knowledge. I believe in constant growth and that the best investment you can make is one in yourself. I am embodying this through deepening my study to gain further qualifications in purpose, psychology and cognitive behavioural therapy.
I have successfully been running my own pre school football coaching company for the last 10 years. During this time I have a track record growing year on year and getting results. To do this I created a strong company "why" of offering as many children as possible a positive introduction and on going experience to sport. This vision was embodied throughout the whole organisation to get everyone pulling in the same direction. It also influenced all of my ideas and decisions allowing me step out of my own limiting beliefs and focus on constant improvement in all areas of the business.
A large part of my role was running coaching workshops with my staff one on one and as a group. This helped them utilise their unique skills and abilities and encourage them to think with a growth mindset to see what is possible. Each coach would also set their own goals and therefore be more motivated to hit them. A lot of the skills I have been using throughout my time doing this I will bring in to my life coaching sessions.
